- We have two cows, two horses, three calves, four pigs, an ass, and about thirty hens at home. We call one of the horses Jess and the other Kit. When we are driving the cows we say How How and sometimes Hi, Hi. In winter we keep the cows in the house at night and in the summer we leave them in the field. The cow house is roofed with sheet iron. The walls are made of stone. It is a big cow house. The cows are tied with a chain. The chain is fastened on to a big post with a thing called a staple the chain is put around the cows neck. There is only one door in the cow house.

- Cows, calves, horses, asses, pigs. We have four cows at home. The names of them is big gray, white head, spring, little gray. When we are driving in the cows we say puky, puky. The cow house is square(continues on next page)
