  1. In the penal times the priests said mass in a hallow in Lowertown. Lowertown is three miles East of Mount Bolus. The people used to go and hear mass in that hallow. The hallow was deep and no one could see them. Ever since the hallow is called Chapel Hallow. The field is belonging to Kieran Devery.

  2. In the penal times mass was said in a hallow in Lowertown which is about three miles east of Mount Bolus. There is a wood beside the hallow. There sis a lot of big rocks along one side of it where people used to kneel. This field belongs to Kieran Devery. The field is called Chapel Hallow.
