   The vessels and spades used for making the butter must be clean and scrubbed.

   When the people are starting to churn they always throw a little pinch of blessed salt into the milk. This is done so that the churning may be successful
   If a stranger comes in when a person is churning and the person that is churning would like the stranger to give a hand with the churning lest the stranger might take the butter by magic.
