  2. Hidden treasure
    Long years ago a certain robber by the name of Mr. Thomas Freaney lived in Mullinavat. He used to rob the people of the village. Before he died he buried his money outside the Three Friars. It is said that until someone gets his money he will never go to Heaven A big black dog guards it every night.
    This big black dog is supposed to be a devil. A light is also supposed to be seen in that spot. Many people tried to get that buried treasure but they were forced to go away because the big black dog usually attacked them.
