  1. My father told me a story about hidden treasure.There is a place called "The Ball Alley" in Co. Carlow. In years gone by there was a big crock of gold hidden there.People said the a lady clad in white robes was guarding it.
    One night there was a man coming home after selling corn in the town of Carlow.He was walking behind his cart m in a an endeavour to work himself. He was a light-hearted man and had few drinks taken. When passing"The Ball Ally , he was the lady, and , going up to her, put his arms around her. She then said to him ,"Your are the luckiest man that ever passed by this place" She brought him to where the gold was and presented it to him . From that day forward that man was very wealthy.
