  1. The Lawn of Killiane
    i
    One morning for sweet recreation,
    I carelessly wandered alone,
To view the grand shades of old Erin,
On the beautiful Lawn of Killane.
Long life unto you Mr. Alyward,
Long may you prosper and reign,
Yourself, your wife, and your offsprings,
On the beautiful Lawn of Killiane.
    ii
Gunsmen were out and on duty,
Warlike I stood on the plain,
    Preparing for County inspection,
That day on the Lawn of Killiane.
    iii
    Surrounded by sweet Wexford Harbour,
Where while trout and salmon do flow,
There is nothing in old Eíre can equal,
    The beautiful Lawn of Killiane.
    iiii
It is there you would see some fine horses,
    And stallfed oxen likewise. --------
