   All the local fairs are held in Arva. This town is a very important business town. It is situated at the junction of three counties - Longford, Leitrim and Cavan.
   It was a fairly common thing for business to be transacted at farmer's houses some time ago. It is not so common now though there are still a few dealers who go around from house to house with lorries buying pigs and calves.
   Business was also transacted at crossroads and the are still some fairs held at them, but in great deal of places these have disappeared.
   There is no tradition connected with fairs around this district.
   Although there is a fairgreen in Arva the fairs
