  1. The birds most common in this district are the Robin, Thrush, Starling, Linnet, Stonechat, Wagtail, Seagull, Black bird and the wren. The Seagull builds her nest on the island of a lough. They gather a bunch of leaves and reeds and put them in a dry spot. They lay four eggs and it takes them a month to hatch them. It is said that when Christ was dying on the cross the Robin flew to him with a green leaf in her beak and a drop of His blood fell on
