  1. In the penal times there was Mass said in a fort in Creelaughter. The alter was made from stones formed like stairs. The alter is still there. They had the Holy water in the holes of the trees. The chapel that is in Ballinamuck now was a small thatched Chapel at that time. The soldiers were going to throw it but Father Murry dared them and they were not fit. There was a Chapel in Drombad. The foundation is still there.
