  1. I live in the townsland of Walderstown, in the parish of Drumraney and in the barony of Kilkenny West.
    There are about thirteen houses in this townsland. Two of these are thatched and the rest are slated. All the slated houses are two story high. There is a population of about fifty people in this locality. Non of these are Irish speakers. There is a lot of old ruins of houses in this district. People say that long ago the people who were living in these houses were evicted by landlord and they went away to foreign countries.
    This townsland is well wooded but the rivers are few. There is one bridge in Walderstown called "Bally Cock Bo" bridge. There are no lakes in this place neither are there any mountains. As far as I know there are no old sayings connected with this townsland. There are four old people living in this district. Their names are
