on the second Wednesday of every month. It is the custom for the seller to give a luck-penny to the buyer when they are buying animals. When they are buying or selling, the seller puts out his hand and the buyer hits it with his hand to say that he is satisfied. The towns are thronged with buyers and sellers on a fair day. When a beast is sold there is a mark put on his back the way the buyer will know his own beast.
