- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)Carty's, Delahunty's and Geraghtys. Years ago Attyconnor was a very thickly populated place. At the four roads there was a town of houses and in the centre of them all lived a tailor named Mick Tynan. He made clothes for all the people of the Parish. There is a very historic well at the four roads of Attyconnor, years ago a child fell into it and the mother went to the bottom of it, and brought up the child quite safely. The well is sixty feet deep. There are old ruins quite close to the four roads. A Protestant Family named Martins lived in it and every night between Seven and twelve o'clock a peculiar animal like a dog is to be seen there still many a night. The ramblers have to bless themselves going home.
