  1. The chief time for getting married in this district is mid-summer. There are some days in the week and one month unlucky. May is supposed to be unlucky and Friday and Saturday are unlucky. The rest are lucky.
    They take a tour round the district and it is called a honey-moon. A pair of boots is tied to the back of the car for luck.
    On the night of the marriage a party is held in the house of bride and presents are brought to her. Disguised men called dress up and go into the house and dance the same as on St. Stephen's night.
