  2. About thirty years ago, a woman called Mary the wheel-chair, went about from house to house looking for alms. She was so called because she had but one leg, and went about from place to place on a chair with wheels.
    When she reached a house she used to call at the gate for help. The people in the house used to wheel her chair to the next house. The people in that house used to wheel her chair to the next house, and so on until night.
