The people of this district make crosses on St. Brigid's eve. They cut two pieces of rods, and make a cross of them. Then they get rushes, or straw, and twist it, and when they have it made, they bless them with holy water, and they put them over the cow-house door, and they say the crosses will bring luck for the rest of the year after.
