Where Peter Waters now lives a family named Murtagh resided about 65 years ago.

    (continued from previous page)
He left her sitting on one of the flat tomb-stones while he went further to investigate.
Just then it happened that 3 men, making use of the "pass" through the old graveyard were going through on their way home. They were trying to come to a bargain about a cow one of them was selling, and these words fell on the old woman's ears, "Sell her, man, sell her, for even a few shillings. What use is she?".
Thinking the words referred to her the poor old woman arose and ran home, the fright being so great that she forgot, (or was cured of) her pains. When her bewildered son arrived home she was there before him.
