  1. There is a field here, called the "Chapel Field". It is in Hayes demesne where the Catholic Church was built in olden times in a clump of Furze.
    The remains of the old road leading from it to Mr Bowen's lane are still visible.
    It was by this old road people used to travel to and from Mass.
    There are large stones here and there through the fields some of which were used in building Beauparc Church.
