  1. Miltown Malbay in the Time of the Black and Tans
    On the year (1920) the people of Miltown Malbay were having a tar barrel at Canada Cross for the release of the prisoners that were on the hunger strike and all the town was illuminated with candles lighting in the windows.
    When all of a sudden the police men and British Soldiers were seen coming up the street in twos.
    Then they gave the order to disperse and immediately they fired into the crowd and killed three men Paddy Hennessy, Thomas O'Leary, and John O'Lachlan.
