  1. The old people had many cures for the various diseases.
    For a sore eye it was a cure to look through a gold ring through the largest window in the house.
    Dandelion tea made with porter and brown sugar is a cure for a bad stomach. It is very good for a delicate person.
    Sore heads were cured by poultising them with potato starch. This would remove the sores and leaves the scalp clear.
    A little asses milk is great for the whooping cough.
    Ferrets leavings are good for whooping cough also.
    A boy who never saw his father can cure graos galar by blowing his breath three times on the person affected.
    Wild carrot eaten raw is a cure for dropsy.
