    Taoibín- A small patch put on any part of the upper of the shoe .
    Peire tosaidhe- is a patch put on the upper of the shoe which comes out over the toes sometimes called a barracín.
    There was a shoemaker in the parish of Kilnamona named Tadhg Hegarty and he had a son named John who learned the trade from his father.When his father died he gave up the trade and went to America .
