    Ainmhidhthe Allta
    The names of the animals that are in our district are-mice ,rats,hares ,rabbits, ferrets,weasles,and foxes.
    Mice and rats make their burrows in low land, where is a thick cover of grass, they usually have two doors in their burrows ,so that if their enemies come in one door they themselves can go out the other door.
    The hare's home is a "form".The weasel makes its nest in stone walls or ricks of turf and in other dry places.The ferret is usually kept in a cage and there is money got for him.
    The fox makes his nest which is called a lair in woods where there is thick covering of bushes.
    The rabbits and hares eats grass and cabbage and sometimes they destroy the crops on the farmers.
    the mice and rats eat potatoes and meat if they can come near it, they do a lot of harm.
    They weasel kills every fowl he can and drinks their blood but they do some good
