Once upon a time there lived a man in the townland of Ballynelon, in the Parish of Kilnamona who used go around doing handy work. One morning he went to town looking for work, he met a bank clerk and he asked him had he any job for him.The bank clerk said he had ,so he took him out into the yard and gave him a shovel ,a brush ,and a as and can and told him to clean the yard. When he had it finished, he untackled the ass and threw the shovel and brush in over the wall. When his master came home ,he asked him for the implements he had given him. He said he did not know where he left them .The bank clerk said wouldent I look nice in my office looking for my pen and pencil and a piece of paper, instead of having my pen over one ear,my pencil over the other and a piece of paper sticking up out of my breast pocket. The workman answered, saying answered, saying, wouldnt I look nice with a shovel over one ear, a brush over the other ear and an ass and can sticking up out of my breast pocket .
