    it up in a lump and put it on a loom and then rolled it on a roller. Next he put it on a wreath and put every two threads between every space. Then he tightened his wreath and the thread was woven.

  2. Candles were made in every farmer's house before. They were made by melting tallow and putting it into a jar. A cotton thread was put in the middle of the tallow. When it set the cotton thread was pulled up and the candle was made. Another way for making candles, was to gather a heap of rushes and dry them. They were then peeled. A jug of melted tallow was got and the rush put into it. When it was set it was pulled up and the candle was made.
