  2. The first day in April is called Fool's Day. The people make fools of each other on that day. Sometimes people are sent several miles with a letter and in that letter is written "send the fool farther". The person who receives the letter sends the carrier to someone else and he goes on and on until he finds what a fool is being made of him.
    When he finds out that he is "fooled" he is furious and there is often a quarrel.
