    Fine Weather
    (1) When the sky is dark red towards evening.
    (2) When the hills far away seem very far off and look blue and dim.
    (3) When the cock crows very loudly.
    (4) When the frog changes his coat to a russet colour.
    Bad Weather
    The following are signs of rain:
    (1) When there is a circle round the moon.
    (2) When the swallows fly low.
    (3) When the sea-gulls fly inland. (Storm)
    (4) When soot falls down the chimney.
    (5) When far off hills seem near.
    (6) If a beetle crosses the floor.
    (7) If the cat turns his back to the fire.
