    She was seven feet high and four feet wide. They owned the hills and everyone was afraid to go near them. One day, a stranger came to the village and after doing some business, he started to climb the hill. When the giant saw the man he intended to kill him and eat him, but the moment he rushed at the man he disappeared. For days after this, the people were terribly afraid to go outside their doors for fear of the giant.
    One day, the giant got very hungry because he couldn't get anything around the hills to eat and he hit upon a plan. He pretended to his wife that he was very ill and he ordered her to go to the village and bring up a doctor. When all the people saw her they bolted the doors, barred the windows and piled the beds and tables and chairs against the wall for fear she'd break in. When she came to the doctor's house she peeped in the window and asked the doctor to go to the giant and he refused. He said he was too ill. Then she got mad and lifted the roof of the house and went on and stuck the doctor into her pocket.
    Going through the streets he was jolted all over her pocket until they came to a tree. Here the doctor caught the bough of a tree and jumped on to it and stayed there until she'd gone away.
    When she arrived at the castle the giant thought
