    Have you ever been to Oola,

    Have you ever been to Oola
    There's a peeler's barrack there,
    'Twas there I had the best of time,
    With the civics drinking beer.
    When their day's work was over
    Sure they came there to a man,
    To give a kindly greeting to the
    Oola Black-and -Tan

    One day, we got a message
    Of a raid upon a train,
    We struck for Boherdota,
    Although 'twas teeming rain,
    The sargeant shouted "Hurry, sure bedad
    boys you're not salt",
    We walked along the railway line,
    Till we dropped on a keg of malt.

    'Twas about a fortnight after,
    We got the news again,
