    By that high and hoary gable
    Which defies the wreck of time
    Sleeps O'I --- beside those
    shining waves
    Those who loved our Irish melodies entrancing and sublime
    should lay a wreath of laurel
    o'er his grave.

    By the fireside of our fathers
    In the troubled days of yore
    He oft tuned the harp to --- of woe
    But that harp is mute for ever
    And its minstrel is no more,
    For he's slumbering in silent Teampal Noe.
