people in the district. A great many of the houses are thatched in the townland. Very few of them are slated.
During the last few years many of the old people have died some of whom were able to speak Irish.
The land in the district is very hilly and there are also a few small bogs.
There is one wood in the district.
The land is very good more especially on the higher levels. But where the land is low it is boggy and not much good. The wood that is there is not very large. It is situated on the side of a hill. There are no rivers or streams here important enough even to have a name.
