  1. A Story of the Penal Days
    Long ago an old man called Seán O'Maolán lived in a little house between Power Head and Ballycroneen Bay. He was supposed to be a wizard and could fortell what would happen in the future. On account of his great wisdom crowds used to visit his house for advice. When he died great was the sorrow of the people
    They buried him in Inch graveyard and when they were coming home from the funeral they saw mighty waves dashing into Ballycroneen Bay and making a terrible noise. At the present day when people heard this noise they say "Seán O'Maolán is at it again."
