  1. LOCAL HEROES
There was a man living in this district long ago named O’Donoghue. He was a famous walker. He used to walk to Cork and to to Kinsale sometimes. One day he heard that one of his friends in Kinsale was bad and he said he would go to see him. He started about seven in the morning and he reached Kinsale about nine that evening. He stayed there until the funeral and walked back home again in one day.
