    Ballyhoura Hill - four miles from Churchtown where according to local tradition Mahon (Brian Boru’s brother) was killed while on his way to Kilcoleman Castle from Bruree Castle.
    The old road from Limerick to Cork lay over Ballyhoura Hill.
