  1. There was a man drowned in a small bridge between Liscarroll and Churchtown. His name was Daniel Corkery. He was a blind man and he carried a walking-stick with him, and he was tracked to the bridge by the print of the stick on the road. There was another man drowned in the river Awbeg. His name was Daniel Buckley. He is drowned about fifty years. It happened in the townland of Altamira in the parish of Liscarroll in the barony of Orrery, and Kilmore, in the County Cork.
