    In this part of the country, there are no stories, to be heard of Óisín or any other important person. But school children often read stories about them in books
    Here is a story I read in a book about Óisín.
    It happened one misty morning that Fionn Mac Cumhail and his son Óisín were hunting with their comrades on the shore of Lough Léin. They were hunting a deer. In a little while they saw coming to them from the west a lovely maiden riding on a swift white horse. On her head she wore a royal crown
