- The houses in which the people lived long ago, were not like the houses which are now to be seen. They were built differently and had several other changes.
The houses were not as high or as roomly as they are now. One very big difference was that the houses were all thatched, but they are slated now. There used be only one door on them, and this used be very awkward. They all had half doors and these were very handy, because they kept out(continues on next page)
