    There was a man fishing in Lickbarrahen long ago and he saw a mermaid on the rock and he ran and her caught her. He brought her home and he put her cloak up in the thatch of the house. She never laughed while she was in the house; but one day when she a woman going out of the house without washing her hands after making a cake. One day the man was thatching the house and the cloak fell down. She snapped the cloak and ran from the house towards the sea and whilst running she laughed so loudly that she was heard all over the village.
