    Bouglis is a cure for boils.
    Sulphur is used for rash.
    Linseed and rib grass were used as poultices for running sores.
    The thorn of a gooseberry bush was used for a whitlow. You would pull ten thorns, point nine at the whitlow, and throw away one.
    Sweet oil and sulphure were used as a cure for ringworm in cattle.
    Alder berry leaves were used long ago for the bathing of swelling in cattle.
