  1. Saturday, in this locality, is considered an unlucky day to begin any new work, to get married, to commence the sowing of a crop etc. while Friday is the lucky day to begin.
    People who believe in applying remedies to ailments consider Monday and Thursday the proper days to do so. Thus you should go to a child, who is the seventh son, on a Monday, Thursday and following Monday, and before sunset, to have ringworm cured.
    Here, the three first days of April are called the "Riabhach Days" or "Days of the Speckled Cow". The belief is that March borrowed those three days off April to kill the Riabhach Cow.
