  1. I heard of a great number of home made toys. My father told me about them. One of them was a whistle. It was made out of a branch of elder. The stick was got and the inside was taken out and the skin was left. A hole was made in the skin and a piece of timber was put in the skin. I made a great number of snares for catching rabbits. How I made them was I got six strands of snaring wire and twisted them and I put a loop on the top of the wire. My father made a spinning top for me. He got a piece of wood and made it round. He put a spear in it.
