One day a goat was very thirsty, and went walking about seeking a well from which to get a drink. At last he came near a well as he thought. Being so thirsty, he jumped in. When he was in he discovered that there was no water there. He tried to get up but did not succeed. After a short time a fox passed by. When he saw the goat he came over to him. The goat begged the fox to help him to get up. But the fox turned away and said; "Look before you leap".
