  1. Long ago people had three meals in the day - The breakfast, dinner and supper. The breakfast was taken between seven and eight o'clock. This breakfast was stirabout with milk or sounds. Before the breakfast was over the morning work had to be done which was regulating the cattle or churning.
    The dinner was generally potatoes and salt and buttermilk. The supper was stirabout or milk and bread and butter.
    The bread was made of oatmeal.
