    Cancer:
    People suffering from cancer in this district go to a man in Longford who can cure it. He uses an herb to cure it.
    Cures obtained at holy well:
    It is said that anyone who sees three fish in Bride's well in this district will be cured of any disease.
    Toothache:
    A dead person's tooth rubbed on the gum will cure a toothache.
    If the person suffering from a toothache licks a frog three times he will be cured.
