  1. Each Irishman that loves the land
    That dwells in Erin's nation.
With me rejoice and raise your voice
    With shouts of acclamation.
July the 12th the Orange felt
    a doleful apparation
As they passed through sweet Gortnahoe
    The pride of Erin's nation
The bells were rang which raised a throng
    They then profused in fountains
Twas your delight to view the sight
    That lined the Colliery mountains.
Five miles along a dauntless throng
    that could not be retarded
With sicks and stones they broke their bones
That night in sweet Slieve Ardy
Their nice cold meat their knives and plate
Were such all in disorder all just alike
    Tossed in the dyke
That night in sweet Sieve Ardy
In Killenaule both great and small
    No longer they could tarry
They drove them round through Thurles town
    And home through Ballingarry
