    There is a brae behind our house and it is said that during the Famine a man died there when they were cutting the brae.
    There is a bridge in front of our house called McAdoo's Bridge. It is so called because there was a public house on the stand of our house many years ago and it was owned by people called Macadoos.
    The bog thro' which I go to school was a lake once. Mr Dunne - an old man well over 70 years - remembers his father fishing in it.
