  1. About a mile from Castleisland there is a place called Caol na Spride. It is supposed that a girl was seen there every night and no one could kill her except by sticking a knife in her. A men went to try to kill her. He stuck a knife in her, and pulled it out again and saw that she was not dead. Next night he stuck the knife in her and left it there. In the morning he found a piece of candle grease.
