  1. 1 To marry on Monday, Wednesday or Friday was counted unlucky.
    2. In the olden times, the bride and bridegrooms rode on horseback to the Chapel to be married. Many of their friends followed them, some on horse-back and more in cover-carts. When the marriage was over the friends threw rice on the newly-married couple as it was supposed to bring them good luck for the rest of their lives.
