  1. Long ago people used to get married in their own houses. But the law is changed and people must get married in Church.
    Some people think it is unlucky to get married in the months of December, May and August, and also on Monday's, Wednesday's and Friday's. Straw boys used to visit the house of the newly married couple, and dance and sing. The people used to give them money and porter. Get married in red and you wish you were dead.
