  1. A man named Pat McGoldrick of Drumnasooey Conway's Cross, moved fice roods of meadow in the day. He also cut a half a hundred of turf in the day.
    He could walk on foot from his own house to and from Sligo in three hours.
    Peter McTieman of Ballinagar, Dromahair Co. Leitrim is famous for carrying heavy weight. He carried three hundred at the same time one under each arm and one in his mouth, for one hundred and five yards.
    About ninty years ago a man named Michale McMorrow of Ballynagar Dromahair, Co. Leitrim ran a race with a horse belonging to William Mc Tieman of the same place. Both men challenged one another to run from Dromahair, to Riverstown and back again. Mc Tiernan wished to give McMorrow odds because the former was on horse back but McMorrow did not agree.
