  1. The of my townland is Roughan and is in the parish of Riverstown. There are twenty familys and sixty seven people in the townland. The family most common is Murphy. There is one house slated and another roof with corrigated iron. The rest of the houses are thatched. There are old people over seventy years but are bad storytellers. The houses were more numberous in former times.
