  2. This was a poem which was written by a woman named Mrs Mulligan who lives in the townland of Doorla, Parish of Ballysadare and barony of Corran. She is now about eighty-five years of age and was a school teacher at one time. She wrote these lines.
    Remember me when this you see
    And hear me in your mind
    Be you not like the Weather-Cock,
    That changes with the wind
    Be you like the Turtle Dove
    That sits on yonder tree
    Lamenting for his own true love,
    As I lament for thee
